What Our Clients Say“SAK Construction recently completed Omaha’s largest structural lining project to date. Metropolitan Utilities District (MUD) selected SAK to rehabilitate nearly a mile of cast iron water mains in the Westgate residential neighborhood. Though the 6” and 8” mains were cement lined and installed less than 50 years ago, they had experienced dozens of breaks, in part because system pressures approached 170 psi in areas. “SAK installed bypass piping in backyards along common property lines instead of in front yards or in curb lines as is typically done elsewhere. This allowed homes on different streets to share the same bypass piping thereby reducing both the amount of piping (and associated costs) and the time required for installation. “SAK used the Aqua-Pipe lining system to rehabilitate the old water mains and restore their structural integrity. With Aqua-Pipe, water services were reinstated internally using closed circuit TV and remotely controlled robotic tools and equipment.
“SAK completed the project in one-third to one-half the time it would typically have taken to install new mains and reconnect water services. In addition, robotic water service reinstatements eliminated nearly 150 excavations that would otherwise have been necessary.” jeff schovanec, P.E. Senior Design Engineer, Infrastructure Replacement Metropolitan Utilities District Omaha, Nebraska
“SAK Construction… accomplished all our goals working around the clock to successfully complete badly needed repairs to 1,000 linear feet of 27-inch sanitary sewer main, 1000 linear feet of 10- and 8-inch sewer main, as well as associated manholes, in one of the busiest intersections in Denver. “The entire team worked tirelessly around the clock to ensure public safety and a high quality repair. All of your collective efforts made these necessary repairs both successful and cost effective, while greatly improving the public’s safety. Thank you!” RICK ZIMMAT project manager

“As a general contractor responsible for a multi-discipline project of this magnitude, it was very important for us to have the right CIPP partner as our subcontractor, whom we can depend on to deliver quality work on schedule. Even though they are a relatively new organization, the people at SAK are veterans in both the CIPP and tunneling industries, and Bates Utility has worked successfully with them many times.” Kris Bates Bates Utility Co.
“In 2008, SAK was awarded the rehabilitation contract for the Paducah McCracken Joint Sewer Agency located in Paducah, Ky. This project consisted of approximately 12,332 linear feet of CIPP Lining ranging from 6-inch to 12-inch pipe. The SAK team was very professional and great to work with. "One challenge that the SAK crew had to overcome while in Paducah, was one section of 10” VCP pipe located in a easement along a small creek. This line was not only hard to get to, but was also full of roots and had about six steel T-posts driven into the top of it. The SAK crew was able to pull the T-posts, cut the roots, and line the pipe without a single point repair. "We had a positive over-all experience with SAK and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing rehab work!" Jeff Thompson Paducah McCracken Joint Sewer Agency
“We had some big interceptors that needed to remain in service on the Basin 17 rehab project. SAK used innovative bypass pumping methods to keep the sewers in service and prevent discharges. There were also difficult access areas that they were very skilled at mobilizing and repairing. The successful use of cured-in-place pipe lining allowed us to renew 40- to 100-year-old infrastructure at a fraction of the cost, time and interruption of traffic compared to open cut replacement. "The experience has been very positive. I have no problems recommending them and have been sharing bid tabulations with other sewer utilities.” Eric Seaman City of Jefferson, Mo.
“The scope of work for the Small Diameter Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation project consists of rehabilitating deteriorated 8-inch to 14-inch small diameter sanitary sewer lines throughout the City of Phoenix using cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) trenchless technologies. "One of the main factors of the project’s success is due to SAK’s project management team and their installation crew. Cory Street and Jeff Oberhofer, project manager and general superintendent, communicate effectively to the City’s project team. Additionally, they have been empowered to make decisions. SAK’s team makes decisions without having to wait for corporate level approval. Lastly, the installation crew works carefully to install a quality product while providing friendly service to our residents.” Simon A. Amavisca, Jr. City of Phoenix Water Services Department
“SAK Construction has completed two sewer rehabilitation projects of about 30,000 feet each for the City of St. Paul. The lines involved were spread throughout the city and ran under several heavy traffic areas. The installation of CIPP liners from 8 inches to 27 inches in diameter was required. “The SAK team adjusted their work schedule to minimize potential traffic disruption, but still finished both projects on time, even with extra segments to line added to the original project specifications. “Whenever you have a new company coming into town to work, you are apprehensive. But it only took SAK a couple of weeks to become accustomed to the way I wanted things done, and everything went smoothly. Now I look forward to working with them again.” Patrick Lowry City of St. Paul, Minn.
